Israel: The Week In Review

By Rob Muchnick

US Director, Manhigut Yehudit

As usual, a lot of crazy things happened in Israel this week. Let’s take a look at two of them:

First - the Goldstone Report which blames Israel for war crimes in last year’s Gaza incursion has got the whole world turning against Israel, even though - according to one British military observer - Israel fought the most restrained, humane, “protective of enemy civilians” war in the history of mankind in Gaza. Of course, at Manhigut Yehudit, we opposed Israel’s actions in Gaza because Israel didn’t fight to win, and it didn’t fight to get back the previously given-away parts of our Holy Land. Of course, this blood-libelous report is what we get for not doing what we should have done.

Nevertheless, Goldstone is causing quite the uproar in the Knesset. This week, the Knesset saw a report which stated that 92% of the anti-Israel citations in Goldstone were provided to the Israel-hating Jew Goldstone by groups funded by the New Israel Fund (NIF). An investigation was called for by many MKs to look into the funding of the NIF, as it receives funds from Europeans who wish us no good.

Of course, it also receives sizable funding from many Jews. You want a coincidence? Many of these same Jewish donors who fund the NIF also fund the Ford Foundation, which then funds the NIF.

You want another coincidence?

Well, these same donors also are on the various executive Committees of Birthright Israel. So what kind of drek are they teaching the kids who come over to Israel for the first time in their lives? They’re teaching them that the Arabs and the Jews must share Israel, and that Israel must give away her Holy Land to the murdering thugs who are trying to kill us. They teach them about pluralism, and that people who have any, dare I say, “normal” Jewish thoughts in their heads like, “The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish People”, are considered extremists and must be shunned. Oy gevalt!

Next, our leftist, appeasing Defense Minister with the Napolean-complex Ehud Barak stated that Israel’s biggest problem is not Iran, but the “palestinians”, because Israel will be destroyed if we don’t achieve peace with the “pals”, whereas Iran’s nuclear-tipped missiles are nothing to worry about. On this point, we have an inadvertent look into what we are really fighting. The Hellenist Barak cares not about whether or not Iran destroys Israel, but only cares about losing power to a proud Jew like Moshe Feiglin, as the continuation of the fraudulent Oslo process will sooner rather than later bring a proud Jew into the leadership of Israel. Barak is an Israeli first & foremost, & only deep down under his suit is his Jewishness hidden.

Just as the famous Israeli soldier Shlomo Baum said about Shimon Peres that “Peres cares not if Israel is reduced to a pile of ashes as long as he’s on top of it,” the same applies to Barak. May G-d grant us the gift of having Jews who want to be Jewish lead Israel and make it into the proud Jewish state it must become.

Manhigut Congratulates Avner Netanyahu on Being a Bible Quiz Finalist

With all sincerity, Manhigut Yehudit congratulates Avner Netanyahu - the Prime Minister’s 15-year-old son - on his victory this week in the Jerusalem District Bible Quiz. He now advances to the nationwide Bible Quiz final round.

The Torah remains the foundation that has sustained the Jewish People throughout the long exile. Manhigut Yehudit and Moshe Feiglin take pride in every Jew that takes the time to learn it.

While we certainly differ greatly on political matters with Prime Minister Netanyahu, we congratulate him on his son’s tremendous achievement.

Our heartfelt wish for the Prime Minister is for his son to teach him the Torah, so that he will understand that the Land of Israel was given to the Jewish People by G-d and cannot be given away by any man.
